Is there a walkthru for Fighter Training?
I can't seem to get past this first stage of the Fighter Training. No matter how I cut it I never have enough shields to block all of the attacks after a few rounds.

what level of it are you stuck on? you should be utilizing dodges and defensive stance, if you're using defesnive stance the only thing you need to worry about is bucket and your dad, and either one of those can be stunned...thats generic stuff though, I can't think of anything solid unless you say what level it is. If its the last level, then those are really all you need to keep in mind, also remember to pick off weaker enemies. If you can stun bucket, keep a dodge for your dad and kill off one of the fodder enemies/training dummies, you should be fine

This is sadly the very first fight vs. the dog, guy, and 2 dummies. No matter what combination I try, at best I'll get it down to 2 final guys and just run out of cards to keep blocking. Am I mssing something obvious here? Like what is the ideal opening move? I assume kill off 1 4 hp character and block the rest, right? When you say, "Defensive Stance" is that a general strategy or an actual card?

Ah,ok. First sword bash pip (cus doggy is a good doggy until he attacks you.) end turn and block all. next turn, concentraite. then inner strength. then hit doggy for being bad. (poor bobo), because that was a mean thing to do, kill a training dummy too. then just block the last one until you get your bash again. then bash it in, wait for next one, bash it again for good measure. Hope that helps.

I can't get past the third thief tutorial fight. Are these battles like puzzles where there is only ONE solution, and you have to play it perfectly or you lose? I hope this game isn't that strict where every battle has only one solution.

Any hints for the 3rd thief tutorial, please? I've tried about 30 times and no luck so far.

Don´t worry FroBodine. Some of the training missions can be quite hard but the normal game is a lot easier than that. ;)
Give it a try if you´re feeling blocked with the training. They're more of a challenge to put you in the right mindset than a tutorial.

Oh man, I wish I knew that beforehand. I refunded the game. It was just way, way too frustrating. I don't think that was a good idea to make the training missions more difficult than the game. It's training!

Perhaps I'll pick it up again. I did enjoy the game quite a lot, but the frustration and perfection needed to win just beat me down.
Gwim  [developer] Feb 3, 2018 @ 12:50pm
Oh, no worries. I´m sorry the experience got too frustrating. These training missions are certainly not easy and new players can get a bad impression. My bad. I will think of ways of minimizing the impact of these training challenges.

Yea so you say but after serveral...probably 10 missions with Warrior realizes chained resist hit is giving 2 cards....

why oh why did I not trash parry when I had chance.

opps so necroed my bad LOL
FroBodine Jun 14, 2018 @ 7:11pm
Necroing is fine if the response is still relevant to the thread. Who cares how old a thread is, if you have questions or comments about it, go for it! I never understood why people think necroing a thread is a bad thing.

I cant remember specifically, but for at least a dozen of the training missions, there is literally only ONE solution! This is a little dirty that early in game, but a little challenge is not a bad thing. And it DEFINITELY accelerates your learning curve of game mechanics and strategy, which you will need. Because, until you collect a few pieces of equipment, the standard game is tough past the first stage.

And....On a side note.......All in all, very nice game. This is probably the best "card" game i have ever played since the original Magic the Gathering single-player-quest-game from the 90's. If only they remade that for Steam! :)
