Stream from Windows to Mac - can't select building
Hello,

I've purchased the game, I've installed it on my gaming Windows machine and im trying to stream the game, to play it on my macbook pro.
Windows host; Mac client.

The game starts, I started the tutorial but can't advance as one of the missions is to select the teamsters office building, where I noticed the problem.

I'm unable to select any building.

Secondary click works ok, it opens the building menu.
In the menu, normal click works correctly, I can navigate the options with the normal click.
If i install the game on the macbook pro directly, I can select the buildings, but its very laggy as my macbook pro CPU is 2.4GHz core i9 which is <3GHz, cant play it in low settings.

Are there any settings to try to tweak to get stream to work correctly?

If i assign a different action to the normal click, eg. demolition, when i click on the trackpad it triggers that action, eg. it opens the demolition view.

(it's identified as Left Mouse Button in the controls display)

I normally use the trackpad on the macbook, but i even tried with an USB mouse, no luck with that either.

I am not sure I can really help you with that as it sounds like an issue outside of the game but let's see:
Are you using the "steam link" app on your macbook?

Have you tried using a PC mouse connected to your macbook?

I'm using the steam app on the macbook (not the "steam link" app).

I've tried to connect a PC mouse to the macbook. It did not work. Same thing happened, unable to select buildings.
Other actions asigned to left click from the controls menu worked.

I just noticed another strange behaviour and im thinking it can be related.

The same setup, streaming from windows to mac trough the steam app.
If i try to build a new road or building, they are placed in a fixed position, they do not move with the mouse, it does rotate, but it stays in the fixed position.

Im thinking it can be related as im suspecting the pointer is somehow fixed to that position for the host, and although the cursor moves on the screen, somehow the game is connected to the pointer on the host, and when i left click, it selects the road at that fixed position, which doesnt do anything.

I tried to change the control for right click to open demolition.
And it's selecting that specific road at that position for demolition, not the building im clicking on.

Can it be related that the windows machine doesnt have a mouse connected to it?
The windows machine doesnt have a keyboard or a mouse.
Im connecting to it through steam or VNC.

(other games are working correctly, tropico 5 included, the only problem is with tropico 6)

Attaching a mouse to the Win PC fixed it.
Works from both the steam and the "steam link" apps
