Brute force economy question (Raw Material export focus), viable or not?
I was wondering, can I run a modern economy max exporting bananas, cheese, and as least processed goods as possible, maybe just agri produce(except corn which will become cheese)? Steel is becoming an absolute annoyance, only fit for space project, so I want to make a resource supplier to the world. Plus no matter what I do, industries dont work hard. Even the most hardworking cigar factory just keeps maxed out tobacco wasting in its stores, and its lifetime production in a decade is less than a hydro farm on steroids (Max budget, Capitalist Minister+Agricultural subsidies). In a wide map I plan on feeding the planet.

It's possible, though you should be aware that each dock can only store 10,000 units of each resource between freighters.

Also, your claim that a hydroponic plantation is outperforming a cigar factory in lifetime production value says to me that either the hydroponic plantation is significantly older than the cigar factory or that something has gone very, very wrong with how your island is set up.

Well, after drones I hope things will change! Also are weapons worth it? Steel and nickel seems a bit too far.
UPDATE: Drones added, after a very tight bottleneck... I'M MAKING A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MINT HERE, though a mass plantation upgrade into hydro crashes your economy for a few months if not well prepared.

Also I think after modernization, hydroplantations lose efficiency, does anyone know the optimal rate for them? Maxout plantations with panoply multicrops+capitalist minister+agricultural subsidies take more space but were more feasible... I think. Did anyone do the math crunch?

Should I cancel agri subsidy after hydro? Or always MAX OUT FARMS FOREVER?

Max out farms forever imo.

Drones really help out with transportation of goods. One of the main bottlenecks will be your teamsters stuck in traffic in the Cold War and later.

I'M using drones but... I'm not sure man. The drone operators rarely sit at the console, despite the best outlay. I think drone operators should get a few upgrades at their buildings for longer work. So far, a drone base with 3 workers connected to 3 industrial outputs barely snatch 30 item packages for a few times then the worker quits and goes to my fun venues. It's sad honestly.

I would use more teamsters but I keep pop limit at 3000ish, and drones are a disappointment for me tbh, too few resources in too short shifts.

Logistics drones really only have two use cases: Bringing pearls onto shore and bringing electronics to toy factories.

I KNEW IT

I wasted money on that DLC. 3 people for a drone station that barely works? Grr...

I wish there was an edict like: "Outsource Drone operations"

I mean, drones themselves sell for an absurd amount given the value of the raw material that goes into them. Drone factories on the correct work mode are pretty good.

oh yes I export them. But I am disappointed at the drone stations' unnecessary manpower use considering they transport 30 units of stuff, even at Jewelry its peanuts.

Mars trip being needlessly retarded with endless events even at 0 risk is another pos mechanic

On average, they transport less than 30 units.

They drop shipments regularly.

Yes, only food delivery has a marginal use. The rest is garbage
