Sound/audio not working

Started playing Tropico 6 the other night and didn't have issues. Played a different game today and noticed no sound so I had to go into the system settings for that game and select my speakers. NOW, though, I don't have any sound in Tropico! And the "audio" option in the game doesn't let me select for speakers.

Thoughts or ideas to remedy this?

could you please share your system specs (OS+bit, CPU, GPU and RAM) in the first place, to get this properly sorted?
If you are unfamiliar with getting those details, simply do as follows:

• Click 'Steam Help' menu (top left of your Steam-client
  
• Select second-last option 'System Information' in the dropdown menu.
  
• Right-click in the popped-up window and select 'Copy all text to clipboard'
  
• Simply paste the copied system information into your next post here.

Your system should be more than fine to handle the game.
The only thing I noticed is that the last update for your graphic card driver was several months ago. Please try to download the latest version and let me know if that changed anything.

It may also be an issue with the audio drivers, which can be tricky to get right. I've never had RealTek quite work for me.
