Need Advice on Liberty, and Maintaining Approval/Preventing Rebellions

Hi folks.

Any tips on maintaining approval/preventing rebellions? As the game progresses, I always seem to end up with constant rebellions that wipe out my labor pool.

Also, any advice on increasing Liberty satisfaction? I try to build multiple TV stations and some newspapers/radio stations but generally end up with low Liberty happiness (which I assume contributes to the rebel situation)...

When liberty gets to be around 35 or so you start getting rebels.

The first thing to do is check your edicts. Use edicts that increase liberty and remove some that reduce it.

The second is to keep in mind default media raises liberty, the work modes reduce liberty.

The third is to check your constitution some of those options reduce liberty as well.

Ahhh..so you're saying if you set it to 'Channel One' then it actually serves to reduce liberty than add to it?

Right, any time it increases a Tropicans relations with a faction it applies a liberty penalty. The default setting increases liberty.

Hi! I am stuck on 79/80 of liberty. I have built a lot of TV Stations, Newspapers, and Radios, I have the Eiffel Tower, and reviewed the edicts and the constitution, I just have the palace as a negative liberty (and very outside), but I cannot reach the 80 points ... Some advice more?
