How do you get power to oil rigs?

I have 2 oil rigs out in the middle of the ocean really far away from land. They're demanding power because I gave them all upgrades.

I have all research done and can afford anything. I've mostly been powering my island with solar plants.

So how do I reach the power supply out to them? Do I have to build a special boat? Teamster dock? Or do I have to just delete the oil rigs and then build them without whatever demands power upgrade.

Never had that problem. Check your electrical grid, maybe? See if you need to build a small transformer next to the water to extend the range?

Yeah it sucks because I have the transformer right on the edge of buildable space and yet the oil is out of reach.
