Food, medicine, religion are all free by default and only have fees if you add them.
i dont understand why the deafult way its not no free lunch mode and the edict to get free food in farms, etc.
really i will check that, the same for garages.. nice advice
Because the default is a communist society.
All the businesses are owned by the government. Everyone that works has a government job. Food is provided for by the government.
They get paid and the choice of what to spend it on is housing quality and/or entertainment, things that are basically optional. The government by default can let everyone live in shacks for free so long as they are given food and work for the government to profit from it.
Do you even realize how little they make? Most of the jobs only pay a couple of dollars per month. (not per hour, per MONTH)
Still wish they added real private housing, like Tropico 2 where you gave the pirates empty lots and they build their own houses according to their wealth.
In tropico 4 there was private buildings by stock market, reaad that could be nice, and from T2 it left the cuba simulator. could be prive buildings even with trocpicans getting a role been rech or upper class.
private housing also could be a thing, much restricted as selling a house by rich level if some one could buy it. a emty lot its queit more complex. Beutiful if they add it but too complex to mee.
I never said they can't add those things as options, I was explaining to him what the default conditions were and why.
Tropico has always had ways to change things a bit after a mission starts, but the defaults are still based on its roots. "Free food" is a Tropico tradition by default, you can change that later with an edict and so on.
