Can't Install
Hi everyone, I'm using a Mac OS. I have bought the Tropico 6 + El Wall Street expansion. It said that the size of the game is 16 GB. But, when I tried to install it, it said that I need 40 GB of space?

I don't get it, is it because that I install both the game and the expansion pack? If so, how do I separate the expansion pack and the game?:steamsad:

The game is a bit under 22gb with all DLC installed. (not just wallstreet, all of them)

Typically when installing a game you need at least double its eventual storage space to allow for unpacking and temporary files to be moved around.

DLC can be managed from your Steam library, just uncheck any that you don't want installed from the games library page...

Thanks so much for the answer ! it's so saddening because to have 40 GB of space, I need to empty my Macbook for it

I'm sorry if I'm quite in the dark about this. How do you install the game on an external SSD for a Mac Book?

Simply purchase an USB SSD and connect it to the laptop. Make sure it's usable (format if needed). Then go to Steam Preferences > Downloads and create a new library on that disk. Done.

new macbooks don't have usb ports, just like they got rid of headphone jacks

they are dumbed down over priced junk that require over priced wireless everything for accessories

I doubt he has a new macbook but even new Macbook air has two USB-C ports on the left side so should be fine.

Hi ! thanks so much for the advice. Yes, I do have USB ports. But does that mean that whenever I want to play Tropico, I need to connect it to a hard disk?

Obviously yes. Though you could try to have steam move it once it's installed since the game for me is actually 20.89 GB. But keep in mind savegames also take space...
