Tutorial Election Speech

I am doing the tutorial and have reached the make an election speech. I have bounced all over the different tabs and still have not been able to make the speech. Anyone got any ideas?

This puzzled me too. Make sure you've selected something for each section of the speech - acknowledge issue, praise faction, etc. Then wait a little bit and El Presidente will give the speech.

Thank you. My problem is that the issue screen does not show up.

Hi folgra, could you please specify what you mean with the issue screen?
Can you maybe even share screenshots?

The same screen that HopperUK mentioned, acknowledge issue, praise faction, etc. I deleted the game and started again and haven't had the problem again. Thanks for asking.

I'm having a similar issue with the tutorial and not being able to complete the election speech. The election speech box comes up with the 4 options of praising a faction, blaming a super power etc, but once i've selected the 4 options and clicked issue speech at the bottom, nothing happens, no speech is given. I win the election, but am still stuck with the give speech task. Am i missing something?

Did you try exiting the game and then starting back up?

Yeah, tried that. In the end I reinstalled the game. Managed to get it working. I'm not sure if it was reinstalling the game or a couple of other changes I made. I restored the prez to his default "kind of normal" personality state. One other thing i changed was with the speech its self, i just selected anything this time. Also, in all other instances, i didnt select the blame the alies or axis and just skipped that. For those of you with the same problem i'd suggest options 2 or 3 first before reinstalling.

I'm so lost. NOTHING on the acknowledge issue screen ever influences my popularity or chances of being reelected, so what is the point of it? I thought the only reason to give a speech was to increase your popularity. What is the point of me acknowledging anything if no one even cares? I don't get it.

I've had this same issue, the game freezes everytime I reach the presidents speech, I have selected all the required options and hit deliver speech but, it just jams the entire game and nothing happens. If I un pause the game it moves forward but, i'm still stuck on that screen. Once the election is reached, the game totally freezes up. I will try to delete and reinstall.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and I have the exact same issue.

Well, if you cycle through all options you will finally get one to allow you to continue with his speech so somehow the game doesn't permit you to make a custom choice on the left and right hand side from the options available.
