Tropico 6 - Multiplayer Question
Seems like the community is mainly trolls, every game I tried joining with empty slots to join, some even had 2 slots open, I ended up being kicked by the host, so what's up with that? :tearsRV:

I then started to host a game, player came in, I started building stuff and then he just left, the game was then over. So if a player leaves the session, in a two player session for example, the game is over? There's no save?

And since there seems no password protection/private room option, you get kicked out of private rooms.

He quit, you win.

If you didn't want to compete, play alone.

Community is broken then, almost all games you have available for multiplayer, they kick you out, if you create a game, someone joins, 10min they leave the game and all you started doing goes down the drain. The multiplayer concept of this game is busted up, don't like it. I don't buy games to play alone, doing the story part and tutorial is essential, but the multiplayer part is a must in a game for me, has to be at the very least solid.

This series has never been about multiplayer. It's always been about the political scenarios. The multiplayer mode is a pointless fishbowl where you just outlast another random person building a city without any purpose

The only thing more useless is the sandbox

Yeah, the deal is bringing a friend and using one of those maps for two players. I understand the idea of the game not being about multiplayer, but it's being advertised as one, that's the ONLY reason I gave this game a shot to see how would this SimCity alike game would perform on the multiplayer platform, I've seen enough though.

I don't really bother buying games that I cannot play with friends or maybe even find new friends by playing a new game, in my opinion it's completely utter boring. There are so many good games with amazing potential, but they make it singleplayer, truly sad, and this one here, there is great potential, wasted mostly, they could have done something much more appealing for the multiplayer side of it.

This is not anything like sim-city, the city building is a side issue to the politics, not the other way around

Anyone playing Tropico as if it is only a city builder is going to be massively disappointed

How can you even say it has nothing to do with SimCity? :tearsRV: It's mostly the same, with addition of politics and other financial additives. Just like SimCity, you build, produce money, goods, happiness (in a certain way LOL) and growth in your created community.

You've obviously never played the rest of the series or bothered to understand the scenarios

City building has never been the focus of the series

People treating it like a city builder is part of the reason Tropico 6 is even more dumbed down than previous versions
