Near 90% approval and I still get rebel doomstacks
I have 90% approval on my game and I still get an uprising with an unbeatable doomstack of 20+ squads of rebels all in a tight group. They instantly take down my watchtowers and squads. Any suggestions?

I think this is just something that seriously needs to be rebalanced by the devs, I remember one of my games also came to an end this way. Once the rebel threat gets to that point I doubt there is really anything you can do to prevent this.

Hi Schnick,
best would be sending a respective savegame directly to our technical support, which can be contacted via support@kalypsomedia.com

What's your liberty rating? even high approval will breed rebels without high liberty.

This could be my issue. I kept having rebels burn my power plant down so my tv stations were never online.

For no rebels ever:

Pacifist state, true seperation, privacy rights, free media, newspapers on open mind covering most buildings. Wonder Eiffel Tower (so only one radio station and one tv station is needed, tv station coverage needs electrified buildings) and an intellectual interior minister (+7% propaganda/media efficiency), plus the usual shenanigans like a courthouse, due process etc. Not making any rebels is more efficient than fighting them in the long run.

Total survaillance will always produce rebels, no matter how happy the people are, so always ignore that request from the commmies.

That's because, sadly, even with the best propaganda, you cannot eliminate an entire faction (I have tried so hard) and whoever is sufficiently mad at you will head for the hills and burn your stuff.

Yeah the idea that you can have 90% approval and still have a massive rebel uprising is a bit "eh". I focused a lot more on liberty on my most recent playthrough and was about to survive to the modern era without any problems. I wasn't aware of how much liberty directly contributed to rebels. I don't remember having to focus so much on liberty in the previous titles.

I agree with you. The high approval/ still rebels makes only sense if you used propaganda to shift your factions towards a sepecific faction. So all those guys are happy and give high approval. But the remnants of whatever faction is left will become guerillias.

Luckily, as one will usually try to satisfy basic needs, all that is left for them to bicker about is the liberty. Suprisingly the militarists never seem to get to the point that they rebel, even if you never build a single military building besides the raid facilites.

Hi everybody,
we heard you and currently working on rebels in general. So this might not make it into the next update, coming sooner than later, but in one of the updates later.
So we are aware that rebels need some tweaking and will do :)

Almost year passed and rebels still bugged. If you get your liberty lower then 40 for a small period of time, a half of your citizens turn to a rebels and you will never get rid of them. Even if you rise liberty back to 90 and have 80% approval you will be harrased by rebels every 2 minutes.
Especially stupid when rebels leader has 80% approval and vote for you...

And if you buy an upgrade of ministry of information you will be interrupted by useless warnings every 2 minutes. :steamfacepalm:

This is the most annoying bug of the game because it is gamebreaking.
