Economy Question
What is the difference between income and production value for a building and why is my income always negative? Thanks in advance for answers.

A farm doesn't have any real chance to earn you an income. It just produces stuff of a certain product value, which may or may not be exported.
It might be delivered to a grocery store or factory, for example.

Same goes with other production stuff.

I was just coming to find this. I'm up to cold war and I have one of every industry but not one of them - even the shipyard - has a positive lifetime income.

Don't know what to do because every level I play I end up living in my overdraft and any shred of money I have I use on the objective to try and get me election support because I can't afford the stuff to make my people happy.

Go to trade panel there's a section show you price for each product. Things like hides are literally worthless until processed

Because this stat is broken. At first I thought "Income" meant that actual accounting term meaning the bottom line, net income. And that my industries weren't generating income because their goods were being sold at export and not at their storefront. However I was wrong because even houses (rent) and grocery stores are also always negative. It is a useless stat for the most part unless you compare it against production value - make sure PV > Inc.

There is a lot missing in terms of quality information to help in the economics of this game.
