Thoughts on game balance (please add your own)

Many of these have been mentioned elsewhere, but have not appeared on 'known issue' lists yet AFAIK, and tend to be scattered around the forum. I've been playing Tropico since #1, and so thought I'd add a short list of things I'm currently finding frustrating. Devs: I have every faith in you, and thank you for all you've done so far :)

(I'm ignoring outright 'bugs' for the purposes of this thread)

- Tourism is still essentially unplayable
- Requests/demands are terrible. Irritating, repetitive and irrelevant - but ignoring them = doom. Sometimes they even demand things I've already done (e.g. "level 2 free wheels").
- Industry profitability feels quite unbalanced (e.g. cigars vs cotton)
- Housing isn't working well (dead 'homeless', choice of housing too strongly tied to location etc)
- Multi-culture: radius currently infinite (bug?); I fear the current blue circle - once implemented - will just be too small
- Tropican life balance overall feels a bit off still; I imagine this is tricky to get right given the full simulation now used, but travel distances/time are too critical compared with length of work shifts. I would like to build residential districts, but end up building tenements, churches and restaurants across my farmland. Teamster inefficiency likely stems from this too in part
- Path finding feels problematic, particularly regarding decision on venues & 'reserving' visitor slots before arrival. I appreciate getting this right from a 'full simulation' modelling perspective is really quite tricky!
- Typos in some of the loading screen quotes/tips
- Raids feel in need of some work: Can we have separate queues for each building?
- Dock: expected revenue currently includes items 'in storage' but not due for export. Can we either split these out in the dock info screen, or even have a stand-alone storage building?
- Radio & TV station, built after Eiffel Tower, still only show blue buildings within their circle, not across the whole map
- Messages indicating power shortage appear periodically, despite power evidently being sufficient (according to power station info screens & overlays)
