How much playtime from the beta?
I'm definitely buying the game when it's out(Just like 2,3,4 and 5) but I'm trying to judge if it's worth jumping into this beta and how many hours I could get from the beta?

It depends on whether or not you play sandbox or just mission maps. Currently there are 5 mission maps with a sixth one coming in February. I am perhaps more circumspect than most players, but let's say about three hours per mission. So, right there you would have about 20 hours of game time.

There are five additional sandbox maps and if past is prelude to future, a sixth will also be added in February. You can also use all of the mission maps in the sandbox mode. I tend to spend days working on a sandbox map, since they span three eras.

You can also play in the Modern Era by using the last tutorial as a sandbox.

So..Sandbox is in the beta in full or is there content missing? And what size are the maps?

There is one fountain that is missing under decorations, and you can not advance to the Modern Era yet in sandbox. The maps differ quite a bit. Of the ones unlocked, they tend to have more buildable space than then Tropico 5, but not a huge amount more. Many maps are broken into multiple islands leaving you with little space to build a sprawling city, but others do. Because they can be broken up, people have this perception that they are smaller, but they tend to be about twice the size of the pre-made maps in Tropico 5.

So...Overall I should be able to get enough time from the beta...Would you say it's worth jumping into it now?

Given that we are half way through February and the game is scheduled to be released in late March, I think so. I have been a bit of a sandbox player, but now that I am actually playing all of the mission maps, I am finding that some of them can take longer than my three hour estimate.

Sometime soon you will get a new mission, and perhaps a new sandbox map, along with multiplayer. In March the map generator is due,

There is more than enough in the beta already to keep you occupied until late March in my humble opinion.

Sounds great! And overall, do you enjoy the game? And mind if I ask how many hours do you have in the beta?:)

Thanks for all your help :)

I personally love the game. Some people who thought T5 was too dumbed down have the same opinion of T6 and the elections can be a bit easy. But much more planning has to be done to keep your island running.

I was one of the early adopters of the beta and took the test part seriously, so I am all most embarrassed to admit that I have over 350 into the game.

That's...Quite a long time! And I've personally very much enjoyed T5.
