Dirt roads?

I thought I saw screenshots of roads that don't have many buildings around them turn into dirt roads. Is that still a thing? A neat feature for aesthetic.

It is more by era in Tropico 6. In the Colonial Era you have dirt roads, but once you enter the World War Era they are paved. The same goes for the pictures. In the Colonial Era, the pictures are sepia, in the cold war they turn to black and white, and by the Cold War the pictures are in color.
