Building Variety and Eras
I hated the era idea in T5 and to be honest... since the very first game you have always only ever had One kind of house or apartment block to put down, always the same size, same shape and color with a few minor varisations. I was particularly upset with the shopping mall which was huge and ruined the layouts of cities. Wheni played Modern times and saw these huge over sized sky scrappers and bigger and bigger buildings i thought not only how unrealistic this game is becoming but how difficult it is to enjoy my city with all these similar large buildings.

I am having a Whinge indeed, i am hoping this catches the Developers ears as i fear Tropico could die out like Stronghold did all due to this silly repetition.

Anyway enough said, good luck to the development team and thank you for finally giving us something other then Tropico 5.

That's what I said. Honestly, if Tropico removed these modern American and futuristic-looking skycrapers and sticks to a Caribbean themed city, then the series will be in a very special position that no other city building game can offer. They can have it colonial with old buildings, socialist with block-sized medium-rise apartments, heck even modern with minimalist-like medium rises. That's what the game needs to present itself and it will look like a game that no other can offer.

I understand that this is a Caribbean-themed management game, but emphasis on Caribbean. If Tropico adds buildings that don't mix well in the Caribbean, it loses its selling point. Tropico 5 lost a lot of its Caribbean charm, and thus its appeal, with skyscrapers and weird buildings like that processor factory, the weird drone port, and a laser (really?). Heck, it even lost a bit of management, but that's another topic for another time.

Tropico needs to be Tropico again, not some SimCity: Societies. We know how that game turned out.

I agree, the Carribean feel was completely lost for me in Tropico 5 and it seems based on the what I saw of Tropico 6, it will have an even less carribean feel than 5. Tropico 6 seems even more unrealistic than 5 especialy the landmark stealing mission.

I liked the different eras concept but they didn't really do it right. It was just a race to get through them.
