Well you can connect the islands by road, however the AI can still choose to use ships.
The other thing is I usually try to avoid having an industry on an island separate from resources.
This is either a job quality issue or a lack of education issue. Most likely education since that map has oil wells which are the worst high school education job
If they end up walking long distances to get their jobs/entertainment/food/church, they will be wasting a lot of time that could be use for actually transporting goods.
In a new game tonight, I'm having an issue where my teamsters have stopped picking up coal from my mines *except* to refuel my coal power plant. I haven't been messing with any auto-export settings or anything like that. I've probably played through 25-30 missions/games to this point, and this hasn't happened before.
I know, my other island that has sugar plantations are delivering to the Rum factory I've got because I've built a road inbetween, I'll try to build a road cross the island and report back if that helps.
Possibly, but I had unemployed workers with the necessary education and they can live closeby.
This issue also hasn't happened for me previously, and it does correlate to the patch since it was after that I started having issues.
If you are having problems with the uranium mine after upgrading it to an automated mine on the baseball mission then you need to demolish it and rebuild it.
Didn't help for me. I also built another uranium mine and did not automate it. After several in-game months the uranium was picked up and brought to the dock instead of the power plant. I have several teamsters. They transport all other goods without a hitch - just not uranium.
Been loading savegames for a while now. Unfortunately I always keep bumping to this same issue.
Managed to get through this map by having two uranium mines, neither automated, and a lot of teamsters. Teamsters would still bring the uranium randomly either to the dock or the plant.
They do work - they just prioritise things very wrong sometimes.
Go to the trade window, then it should be the rightmost tab, scroll down to uranium and untick the box next to it.
