Teamsters not delivering goods properly?
Hey there, first off I'm mostly having a good time with this game but I've encountered a few mostly minor bugs up until now when I'm at the chocolate mission. My problem is that I have loads of teamster offices built, I've got the teamsters ports built between islands and yet they don't deliver between islands.

For example, on one island I have 3 cocoa plantations built, but my chocolate factory is on the main island. I also have two upgraded teamster offices and an upgraded teamster port, yet the plantations are full and my cocoa is not being delivered to the factory at the main island, it's not being delivered at all.
When I click on some of the ships going between the teamster port and the main island dock, they say they're delivering logs from my lumber mill on the cocoa island to the furniture factory I have on my main island, yet the amount they're carrying is 0 so I don't know what's up with that either.

Another issue I found with the chocolate factory I built was that nobody would work there, so I had to hire people manually, but since I'm getting no cocoa OR suger input it doesn't really matter.

Am I just missing something? I'd be super happy if anybody could enlighten me.

Cheers!

Well you can connect the islands by road, however the AI can still choose to use ships.

The other thing is I usually try to avoid having an industry on an island separate from resources.

This is either a job quality issue or a lack of education issue. Most likely education since that map has oil wells which are the worst high school education job

Where do they live? Can they get to work and to entertainment easily?

If they end up walking long distances to get their jobs/entertainment/food/church, they will be wasting a lot of time that could be use for actually transporting goods.

I started having problems with teamsters after yesterday's patch. In the first case, I loaded a pre-patch save game and noticed that my teamsters had stopped delivering uranium to my nuclear power plant and were instead leaving it at the dock for export. I tried bulldozing the plant and building a new one, but it didn't work. I chalked it up to maybe be due to my save game being pre-patch.

In a new game tonight, I'm having an issue where my teamsters have stopped picking up coal from my mines *except* to refuel my coal power plant. I haven't been messing with any auto-export settings or anything like that. I've probably played through 25-30 missions/games to this point, and this hasn't happened before.

I know, my other island that has sugar plantations are delivering to the Rum factory I've got because I've built a road inbetween, I'll try to build a road cross the island and report back if that helps.

Possibly, but I had unemployed workers with the necessary education and they can live closeby.

This issue also hasn't happened for me previously, and it does correlate to the patch since it was after that I started having issues.

could you tell me whether it was possible to solve the problem with the transportation of uranium for the nuclear power plant?

If you are having problems with the uranium mine after upgrading it to an automated mine on the baseball mission then you need to demolish it and rebuild it.

Didn't help for me. I also built another uranium mine and did not automate it. After several in-game months the uranium was picked up and brought to the dock instead of the power plant. I have several teamsters. They transport all other goods without a hitch - just not uranium.

Been loading savegames for a while now. Unfortunately I always keep bumping to this same issue.

Yeah it is weird because it is only that one vein on the one map I ever had this issue with.

I really hope they would introduce either a "call a teamster" function, which you could use perhaps once every X months, to call a teamster to the specific building, or a chance to prioritise teamsters. Whether it was per teamster office or for them all, it would help to let the player prioritise transport between (for example) energy production, industry and export.

Teamsters are vital to your economy but they are also workers who need enough Fun and pay to do their jobs so provide it for them^^

Managed to get through this map by having two uranium mines, neither automated, and a lot of teamsters. Teamsters would still bring the uranium randomly either to the dock or the plant.

They do work - they just prioritise things very wrong sometimes.

Go to the trade window, then it should be the rightmost tab, scroll down to uranium and untick the box next to it.
