thank you for the update and as both of you do not own the game, maybe another chancegetting into the game.
-cheers
Aint the point of the topic people with EA Origin do not need to buy or own the game?
Therefore, it is not correct to say, only using EA Origins gives you the game for free.
-cheers
It's $30 a year, that's cheaper than buying Tropico 6 to have access to it plus dozens of other games
Considering how cheap that is, the majority of games on those subscriptions are old and only cost in the $1 to $10 range. There's a handful on there that sell for around $20 normally (or $10 on sale) but they are 2 to 3 years old and beyond their primary selling window.
Placing a relatively new $50 game into a service that cheap this soon after launch is going to be viewed by most of the gaming public as a failure, you are basically giving the game away on a service intended to bundle old cheap games
this is not correct and I also have to correct myself properly, as it is not just EA Access, but EA Access Premier, which is the premium version of EA Access, which is not 30 a year but 100, and covers not cehap games, but current games, such as EA's current productfolio, among others.
But, before continuing to spread rumors, false information and overall conspiracy theories, simply follow the link OP has provided, if there are any questions.
Thank you in advance.
-cheers
I actually had to dig to verify what you just posted. You are correct, it's $100 for the "premier" subscription per year.
But just to note: if I had to dig to figure that out, so will a lot of people. And the volume of gamers who hate EA will only skim the info like I did, see that you are "giving the game away" and scoff at it. It's very much a perception issue.
There's also a difference between EA providing newer games on their own service and an outside company doing it. For them it's a loss leader, providing a game they already own to get more customers into their system.
But T6 isn't owned by EA, so unless you're getting paid per hour of people playing T6 on their service, it's still giving the game away at less value than retail price. It's the kind of move that should have waited a year after launch, not less than 2 months.
Also with the current state of the game (lack of mp saves, various bugs, etc) , you just opened up new players who were already on that service to play T6 "free for them" as it's a service they already were paying for and with the current state of the game, that means more complaints.
40+ years of gaming, almost 20 years of playing Tropico games, all I can do is observe and comment. Despite whatever complaints I may make I do want the franchise to succeed, but from a marketing perspective all I can say is this was not a positive choice to make right now.
Origin/ Origin Premier is what it's called on PC.
I thought you were a dev?
As a person that has Origin Premier I'm not complaining, For a game that couldnt even release with saveable games in multiplayer I'm glad I did buy the game upfront. I mean come on how long was it in production for? :'D
Even devs can't always get into the 24892048297852099 different names of nearly the same service.. Don't be like this pls.
They should when it's their own product only on one other service :'D
Also I take back what I said.. He's just a community manager.
Oh and its a game I wasnt sure I would like but in fact I am now glad I have played. Also other games that they do Battlefront 2 for instance is a great multiplay shooter now and thats on their too!
15 quid a month gets you some very good games - for me its money well spent.
