Support for Moza TSW Truck Wheel? Some buttons won't map...
The game recognises my Moza R9(v2) base with the trucking wheel, but it does not recognise any of the buttons on the right hand side of the wheel, e.g. the right indicator button, dipped headlights, settings and menu buttons, as well as the ones marked as volume and volume down - although it DOES recognise the volume up button for some reason!

I can map the rest of the buttons fine, but none of these register when you try to map, and neither do the two thumb-wheel controls.

It's not a problem with the wheel, as all of the buttons and controls map fine in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

The TSW's button numbering map [support.mozaracing.com] indicates volume up is button 32 and the rest of the buttons and both thumbwheels on the right half of the wheel are mapped on buttons 33-48. Someone on Reddit was also reporting half the buttons not working in Fernbus engine games. This leads me to think the Fernbus engine has a limit of 32 buttons (5 bits) for each input device. I'm not sure how well Steam Input mapping works for this game but it could be worth trying (instead of the incredibly clunky mapping from Fernbus).

If Steam Input doesn't work you could try to manually assign the buttons in the DefaultInput.ini file, but you'd also want to make a backup since the game seems to overwrite this file every update (according to an old guide for the Steam Controller) so you'd have to make a copy and constantly replace this file. It may be easier to create a virtual controller with X360CE[www.x360ce.com] for buttons 33-48. This is an open source project to create a virtual Xbox 360 controller so your hardware inputs can be mapped in games that have poor peripheral support. I don't remember how finicky Fernbus based games are with multiple input devices so you could try using a program like AntiMicroX[github.com] instead of X360CE to map these buttons as keyboard keys instead of as a basic XInput controller.

Hopefully at least one of these solutions works.

Thanks for your comprehensive reply, I'll try some of those workarounds at the weekend and see how I get on - I had also read about the 32 button limit, so I think you may be onto something there. Cheers!
Has anyone got any further with this issue.
I would also like to get my R5 and truck wheel to work with OMSI 2
I believe the latest release of Fernbus has a fix for the 32 button limit, so I presume that will be coming to The Bus soon...
Where is the "DefaultInput.ini"
Sorry, I'm on the wrong forum.
I'm trying to map all the buttons on OMSI 2
