Got FPS drops?
If you run everything on max in graphics but have fps drops and lags,
go into graphic options and turn mirror quality down or off, it will help ALOT.
Im not sure why the mirror quality ♥♥♥♥♥ up the fps so much, but i hope they
will somehow fix it. I have rtx 2080 ti and a decent pc - I run everything on max graphic settings, but having mirror quality on max makes it drop 20-30 fps and alot of lag spikes.
So i put mirror quality on low setting, gives me back the 20-30 fps, but now i can barely see anything on the mirrors, and that kinda sucks, because i cant see whats next to me, other than blurry pixels.

Its because the game is having to draw the world 3 or 4 times depending on how many mirrors/displays it has to draw on, so thats a lot of work for the GPU. Would be nice if that was optimized but it will still always have some kind of performance impact unfortunately.

True, optimization would be nice as you said, otherwise the game basicly requires rtx 3080 to run everything on max, and thats hard to believe for a game like this.

The game doesnt look good at all if ran below high settings imo..

I wonder how Euro Truck Sim 2 this masters because i have 6 mirrors or so. Works just fine. Maybe because it´s old graphics? I don´t know.

Possibly, SCS really know what theyre doing though. Its definitely optimized better.

Ok i may have found the reason why the mirrors impact the fps so much. In my opinion the view distance in the mirrors is way too far. If you can configure it in the settings, you can get a way better performance because the system don´t have to render so much in the background. Another point are all the realtime reflections on every car you see. Maybe if you have a way to reduce the reflection interval you can get more fps too. I´m clearly not a game dev but i do 3D Animation and modeling and i use some of those dirty little helper to get faster renderings :P There are a few more things i see which can be tweaked like the screen space reflection. I think it is SSR (hope so :D) and the Shadows and the general reflections and its render distance. Oof so much input again. I hope everybody understands me and my gibberish english XD
