Medium Difficulty?
How do I get a game on medium difficulty? I only have easy, custom and endless...

This was a recent change that could be a bit confusing out of context. The Custom game is a new addition and via the Custom game options you can make the equivalent of Easy-Really Hard games by playing with the settings (it even provides you with an overall difficulty rating for your currently chosen parameters). I guess they kept Easy as a separate entity just to more clear to newbies as to where to start and that I think the True Easy mode (as opposed to simply creating an Easy Custom game), might even restrict some of the nastier potential events (not super sure on this) as in all other modes, except maybe some sceanrios, all unlocked cards can show up in your games whether you want them or not (and believe you me, there are many cards you'd prefer to never encounter).

sure wish the developer would show up and clarify this. i know you were involved in the game more than others but you seem to be guessing at what's going on rather than knowing. i have another thread about the snowflake animation (my eyes don't like it) and when do the scenarios open up. i mean does everything (scenarios, medium difficulty, hard difficulty, etc) open up over time or what. AND, how do i know or how do i access the other stuff: Winds of Change, the free extension, Beyond the Wall?

also, not on hard but on normal it would be nice if i had the choice to turn off or on that graphic that Easy has showing what's in your hand (under to player portrait). i like it and i may want a little higher challenge but i'm not a die hard player out for blood. a little harder than Easy but still give me some advantages like showing me that graphic). anyway, please consider.

I'm just a fellow avid player that got to help test from fairly early on.

EVERYTHING can be unlocked just by playing. While wins will work your way through quicker, even losses will make you some progress. As far as I can recall, the unlocks are just in a fixed sequence, so it has nothing to do with doing anything special in a particular gameplay mode.

While I have nothing to back this assumption, and Jerome (the primary developer) might say differently, I think playing the Classic modes unlocks stuff in fewer games than playing Scenarios, but this could just be an illusion since I lose a lot more of my Scenario runs.

thanks. you'd think with Winds of Change recently released the developer would be a little more attentive to the forum.

Hi again. I'm most of the times very attentive but I've been away with no internet for a week. Going on a retreat the day after an update release is not very clever, I agree :)

I confirm that Lord Gek knows the game at least as well as I do xD

Anyway! Yeah, medium and hard settings are now available in the custom settings. It's neither conventional nor well explained, that's the issue with updating regularly, I tend to forget (a bit) new users.

All previous content updates (Beyond the Wall and the others) are included in the current version, Winds of Change.
