Trees Won't Grow!

Alright, what's going on? I planted two trees because they were otherwise hard to find and I needed their seeds as part of the goblin girl's quest. One of them is planted in regular soil, and the other is planted in fertile soil.

It's been many days (in game time), and they have not grown at all. Where as I've had several crop harvests from the rest of my makeshift garden.

At first I thought something has gone wrong and tried to dig them up, but no matter how much I whack away at the sprouts, or dig away at the dirt, they can't be destroyed or removed. So now I'm worried that I just wasted perfectly good resources on what seems to be bugged out farming.

Trees need a lot of time to growth, but it does look like something is wrong here. Could you send us your save file to [e-mail], so we could check out what happened?

Seems there's no need. I just now checked them and they finally grew into bushes. It just took way longer than I expected it to, so I thought it was bugged.

But thanks for the response, I was afraid the forums might have been completely dead, since I don't see much activity on them.

Hey, thanks for letting me know! No, it's not dead, but we're just very focused on our next game right now, Be My Horde.
Of course, we're still here to answer questions and help the Realms of Magic players. That's completely on me that we didn't reply to you sooner as I missed your message by accident.

I only bought the game fairly recently, so I'm still new to this stuff. I thought that merchants and crops would grow faster if I slept or waited a few days. But I've discovered that they apparently reset over the course of real time.

I'm not sure exactly how long I have to be playing the game for it to complete the process, though?

The growing time of various crops and trees is determined by the in-game time. You can check it out in tooltips - point the mouse cursor on a seed in your inventory and you'll see the necessary info :)
