BATTALION: Legacy

BATTALION: Legacy

Battalion 1944 in 2020 is it "dead" or alive?!
21/7/2020.

Hello Devs and Community! After my longer absence from B-44 I read and see this game is also abadoned or "dead"?! The last update was in December 2018 yes? Like I wrote already on other games, the longer time goes by without any news, updates it's often a "Bad Omen" or sign.A longer radiosilence is also no good sign:steambored::steamfacepalm:. Another WW 2 game here on Steam has also a longer radiosilence since a while.Looks actually good has bots and gore xd but Im sceptical........ But back to Battallion 1944! Its actually the DEVs Job to inform US whats going on with B-44:steammocking:! But yeah good news are better than bad news about our games.

Days of War is dead too. Sadly there are no WW2 games right now that are alive and fit to me. BF V is to crazy without Soviets lul, COD WW2 is *****. Post Scriptum is to hardcore for me and Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm 1 has bad graphics 2011/2013 but still alive and great gameplay.

If they would bringout British, Soviets or Japanese it would easly be alive again but they wanted to do Skins and ♥♥♥♥. People didnt like it and it died out because the were focusing on the wrong stuff. Pritty Sad

I feared already the situation is bad.Yep I meant Days of War xd,even dead it has Bots compared with Post Scriptum or Hell let lose, but to purchase another dead game? Dunno. And of course the Devs making an "Silent Retreat" after they had the money as it seems:steamsad:?!
To me it's always sad to see a nice and interesting is going to "die"! At least they should talk open about their failures whats happened etc.

We're consistently active within Discord, Reddit and on our personal socials. We're currently focused on finishing the console version of Battalion 1944 which will come with some much needed changes from the PC version to suit a console audience (alongside other projects). This has been no secret for the majority of this year which has subsequently had a knock on effect due to COVID-19, as have many other studios. The next update for Battalion 1944 on the PC will come alongside the release of the console version.

i dont know why (almost) every studio blames corona, there are some Studios who manage to roll out game update while corona pandemic. stup using corona as an excuse.

The knock on effect is in reference to the console version of the game and events like E3 which we were set to be at but were then cancelled. The focus on console remains the same.

This game died for two reasons really.

1) Releasing new skins all the time yet bugs continued to go unfixed.
2) There's just wasnt enough to do in this game, it's only real attraction was to us old cod2/cod4 players and tbh it got boring pretty quick.

For older players/cod2/cod4 players it was nostalgic
For new players and younger players it just came across as 'cheap'

If you make another FPS game just come up with something new and I think it would do a lot better, also fix bugs when people report them, there's only so long people will put up with dying behind walls - hence people left.

we as the esports organization (playing ducks) sent to bulkhead seven emails to run tournaments, no feedback. We wanted to support the game in germany, but no feedback. also in the stream, no feedback. The game ist down and to late for safe. the developers have more than two years time... shame bulkhead

It seems like they gave up. Now pushing consoles Version for more money only.

Don't be daft. He just said they would be releasing an update for pc when the console version is finished.

Is the game playable currently? Or are the servers down?

They have been saying this for a very long time. It signifies nothing.

The answers to these questions are irrelevant as no one else is playing.

Why do you even need to ask this? There's charts and graphs of player activity for every game on Steam.

There's between 0 and 20 people playing this game worldwide for the last month. It's as dead as it can be.

Because I care! If it seems Devs dont care anymore for their own games their OWN games they did created to make money and the games famous.I saw how "Devs" abadoned their own creations taking our money, ran away without sayin a fkn word:steamfacepalm:,and if they dont care or you and others I AM the guy the NooB/Nerd who cares about so I ask em out I wanna get statements, answers why that is so,and I call out the things are wrong today in gaming.
