Mod Help: Is this the best I can get my mountains to blend?
Pictures of Examples: https://imgur.com/a/Pn7fP0J
We all know Skyrim is notorious for its hideous blending, and I just want to make sure that my mountains look as good as I can reasonably get them. Any recommendations are appreciated. I truly do love how they turned out. But you know, when it comes to modding, you always want to make sure it's as good as it gets before accepting any less. It's also common for me to randomly despise my mountains after seeing a bad seam (5th picture) even if they otherwise look great.

Mods Used: ScandaNordic Mountains (8k), Skurkbro's Retexture Project (is where the Landscape/Snow is from), Simplicity of Snow, Terrain Parallax Fix, Landscape/Water Fixes, and Re-Engaged for Cathedral Weathers is my ENB paired with EVLaS

Somewhat seen in the screenshots: Skyrim Remastered Ice/Glaciers with Glacierslab (bumpy&chiseled), Skyrim 2020 Parallax, Lux, Happy Little Trees and Water Mod- ENB Displacement Texture with GKP Waves Reborn- Which literally just came out under a week ago.
(I posted this on reddit too so if you see this twice, sorry. Just really want to know.)

To a large extent, yes. With mods, it is possible to make things blend more seamlessly to a certain extent, but there will still be places where there are seams and sharp transitions. There are different ways of handling the issue - for example, where there is a seam between a rocky edge and soil, a plant can be placed to hide the seam or make it less obvious. But all these solutions require editing the landscape or creating new meshes/textures for the objects. But these things take time and require knowledge of how to do what is needed - of these, the time factor necessary is probably the biggest obstacle to overcome.

Thanks for the reply, I'm glad to hear! I'd rather not waste time if this is the best I can get, and instead spend time actually looking into what you said and seeing if I can personally fix the few trouble areas that bother me the most. Your idea is great. I've yet to find a mod that adds floral specifically as a trick in certain extra-troubled areas. Which is honestly surprising, but perhaps it's due to all the differences in landscape mods.
Grass/flora mods help in general like you said, but no mod involves hand-placed plants with hiding seams in mind. Editing the landscape would be a big step forward in modding that I'd love to take. Exciting! I've only ever ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around making relatively basic mods in xEdit so it'll be slow but hey, that's modding. I can start with a rock outside Dawnstar's entrance, pick a winter-floral (after getting permission, of course), and very slowly start there with one edit. Wish my sorry ass good luck!

I know that in my mod, there was one spot where the road and the dirt near the entrance to The Coffee House showed an obvious seam, so I just placed some plant cover there to make it less obvious.
As to the actual doing, some things can be done in xEdit (which was how I applied my fix), and others will need to be done in the CK. Either way, best to start with an area that you are frequently in and which has the most annoyances, and fix the major ones first, then you can move to other areas. After several decades, you should have covered most of the issues - just in time for the release of TES VI.:steamhappy:

Seriously, though, good luck! And looking forward to more of your screenshots!
