Golden Claw Bug
I have deleted Skyrim all together. I have deleted the game. I have deleted entire existence of Skyrim from my PC besideds it showing that I have already bought Skyrim.

Yet the glitch still is there. The golden claw door will not let me move the rings to put the correct code in.
Only thing that I have tried that worked was the TCL command

I start a new game same glitch.

Does anyone know how to fix this or am I just supposed to play the game with the glitch?

Still haven't found a solution
I am avoiding downloading mods for those cause issues alot of the time.

Did you ever tried to turn the claw around in the inventory screen? The solution is at the back side of the claw! No glitch, no bug!

He said he cannot move the rings to put the right code in.

@OP ,are you using mods?

OK, missed that part. After using the TCL command, be sure to turn off the TCL and get back to the puzzle door to be sure you haven't missed any triggers. The TCL command won't activate triggers.
And as JeeVeeGee wrote, are you using mods that may cause the issue?

Mod issue is my guess...
If you used vortex, did you also delete the Vortex mods folder?

When you uninstalled the game, did you also delete the Skyrim folder in my documents?

Fallout 4 has quite a few issues when your FPS is too far above 60 (dialogue timings, lockpicking issues, animations being too fast or not happening at all). Since it is the same engine, Skyrim may behave the same.

I've seen other posts with a similar issue even without mods. I agree with Steventirey about the potential cause. It is a fairly common issue reported. There are a few steps indicated in the wiki related to -

1) save/reload, 2) walk back through a load door and try again, 3) reload to the beginning of the dungeon and try again, 4) Save and exit game entirely and try again.

I haven't heard from others whether this is all claw doors or just BFB.

I will try that

The definition of a bug is that it can be reproduced. Yet this part of the quest never failed for me, nor have I ever read about any possible issues.

As for mods, which seems likely, the best way to get rid of the whole lot is to revert your game back to vanilla. So... hop into your Steam library, check the games properties and then use the "Check local files" option. This makes Steam check your game files against the release files, including config files, so it'll revert everything back to normal.

It sounds like you don't need this part anymore but it's always something to take into consideration.

I cannot offer assistance because I never encountered this issue, but the fact many of us never encountered this issue means there is some way for it to work properly. Don't give up, and please, let people know what works for you.
