Sounds like they're finally rolling some of the fixes Unofficial Skyrim Patch has fixed for a long time. *slow clap* They're finally taking the initative to take work that's been handed to them on a silver platter, and doing the bare minimum to incorporate it. *slow clap*
i will pay it
espically if the mod is good
wether or not modders pull thier stuff or not will make lil to no diferrence at all
otherwise bethesda wouldnt do it
i have always believe modders should get compensated for ther work and here we are
im so glad
you will always have cheapskates that thinks the world owes them
wel done modders
make the awesome mods that you do and me and others will buy them
...which isn't packaged into the game's payload nor a paid upgrade payload i.e. the Anniversary Upgrade or else, meaning console players have to download it externally from the Creations page, which is free, but which wouldn't get auto-installed under any circumstance, let alone contains questionable changes...
*sLoW cLaP* :/
It's not even all mods that are monetized.
I don't believe they will allow just anyone to monetize their work. It's yet to be seen, but my supposition is that a certain level of polish must be reached before a creation can be monetized.
Also, I may have been wrong in my statement about that all creations will be made to work together with the already established Creation Club content, as when you pay for and download one, you are able to delete it in-game (unlike the Anniversary Edition Upgrade Creation Club content, which was all made to work alongside one another). I assume the only seven new paid creations that exist will work in unison with all 74 of the mods that the Anniversary Edition adds, but only time will tell if further paid creations can all be used together. My guess is, they'll try to maintain a high level of compatibility overall, just like third-party modders do.
they do which is why you should pay them directly for their work instead of only allowing them to make a percentage.
It's the same.
Happy gaming, and happy holidays.
I own the GOG version. Will be interesting to see where the community shifts.
"Removing the Creation menu" isn't new. It's merely a UI change.
You could potentially remove any option you wanted from Skyrim's UI. Even the vanilla "Help" menu, as has been done before, along with repositioning which menu is positioned where. It simply blocks an option, not "eliminates" it.
EDIT: And it's hired third-party modders making these mods... .-.
You mean curator. Curator are not deleting their collections. They merely hide it and was troubleshooting to get it to work again before re-publish it.
Bethesda has Microsoft money and yet they still want to pull up the modding community by the roots just to make a bit more.
my comment was deleted
its a gorgon ♥♥♥♥. Obviously Bethesda is testing waters and its going to get only worse. Not sure what you have to have in your head to think 'it's just few mods'.
Horse armor anyone?? Look where the industry is now. Bethesda is starting their new chapter and 100% it's a test before Starfield gets it too.
This actually kills modding community becuse there are always going to be few creators who will decide to go for few dollars in creation club instead mod being free on nexus. which means it will break collections, mods that depends on other content and some creators won't deal with this to update and fix their mods form ground 0 once again as afterall the game has like 13 years
This also involves updating and managing the mods. Can't wait to see first problems coming up from having paid mods (which not updated will surely break at some point too) not working with nexus mods causing more problems.
As im writing this second time as my original was deleted, i won't bother going again on everything.
I'll just say that one thing that made me angry the most, is lack of giving a duck by Bethesda. Mods are sole reason Bethesda's game had commercial success, especially Skyrim. Their every game has to have even UI fixed, yet they still can't learn to make it at least decent looking. There is no way they would be here without modders and mods.
So what we got today?
Thank god i knew it was coming and made sure to turn off updating and back up my files because they didn't even bother making a notice about the update to warn people. It's not out of lack of care, but because they want people's mod lists to break, to force more players into their new creation club utopia. Bethesda really doesn't deserve what they have and what they try again should NOT be accepted
