Preferably lore friendly - I'm aiming for immersion.

The bijin mods are the best for "normal" looking women. Pandorable also has a lot of good mods especially for the male npc's in the game. Almost forgot. The ordinary women mod also makes a nice companion to the bijin mods.

I like Dibella's Blessing and Men of Skyrim.

I'd sugget Total Character Makeover. It's a lore friendly overhaul, it smooth npc face and give the a better facial skin.

The Bijinn-Pandorable-Kalilies combo is always nice, especially since between the three nearly all NPCs in the base game and DLCs are covered.

These will improve them, and generally make them better looking, but doesn’t stray too far into “glamazon” territory.

Modpocalypse is another. You’ll get a range of results in terms of “beauty” and the series utilizes the High Poly Head. What I like about Modpocalypse is that the creator also covered quite a few of the major mods that added new NPCs.

The Northborne series by Southpawe is also worth a look. The focus here is on making each of the NPCs more visually recognizable and distinct-looking, taking their age, profession, and personalities into account. The only downside to this series is that it’s incomplete. Southpawe never got around to covering the NPCs in Eastmarch or the Reach (as well as the DLCs). He decided to take a break in early 2022, with the intention of coming back to finish, but he hasn’t as of yet.

I see a whole bunch of bijin/pandorable mods. Am I downloading the whole lot of 'em or are there specific ones I should look for?

Download all of the bijin mods and all of the pandorable MALE mods. ALso download the pandorable dragon born and dawn guard mods. This should take care of just about all of the major npc's in the game. The ones that are not covered can be taken care of by using the ordinary women mod.

There should only be three Bijin ones: Warmaidens, Wives, and NPCs.

For Pandorable you will want Pandorable NPCs, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, Males 1, and Males 2.

The other Pandorable ones you may see deal with NPCs already covered by Bijin, covered by Kalilies, or are for mod-added NPCs.

I’m not kidding when I said Bijin, Pandorable, and Kalilies are intended to be used together. They each cover NPCs that the others don’t with little to no overlap. Pandorable specifically avoided the NPCs that Bijin redid, and Kalilie took care of the final 72 that Bijin and Pandorable didn’t touch.

So if you’re going this route you will need:

Bijin’s Warmaidens
Bijin’s Wives
Bijin’s NPCs
PAN NPCs
PAN Dawnguard
PAN Dragonborn
PAN Males 1
PAN Males 2
Kalilies NPCs

Thanks for all the info! The game is really looking great. On a side note, I tried installing the better jumping mod and now am getting an error message saying "DLL plugins you have installed require a new version of the Address Library." However, I have the latest version of the address library. Anyone know how to fix?

There's also 3DNPCs ( Interesting NPCs ) that add loads of extra Npcs to the world. Some to add flavour or extra interest, with some made for a specific case. loads with quests to add immersion and changes. Followers designed as wives or super followers that can lead to dozens of other related quests.
This mod could be a whole play through on it's own and is quite a large download.

Well.. I was planning to make a list of mod that replace NPC and check for any conflict.. it seems to be a very nice mix since the spreadsheet doesn't show any conflict.

I gonna need to expand the list soon..

If you plan to expand the list of npcs and to resolve conflicts, this mod will be your friend: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/52313 (Easy NPC)

Well, I already list all those NPC mod I know so far. So unless anyone know of any other NPC replacer mod to be add, I don't think I can expend it much further.

I gonna check out the tools soon. :)
