It is these kind of messings with the console that cause the game to lock up.
Best you can do is Install the Parthenaux Dialemma mod and Ignore them. (my spelling is atrocius.)
And to think I even made a couple of nobodies into Blades for them...
(edit): Good call @dave, stupid me... the SE version of the mod can be found here[www.nexusmods.com]. A dumb mistake on my end, sorry for the possible confusion.
But at least you'll be able to finish that dumb quest (and without failing it).
You don't even need that mod to ignore them. The Paarthurnax quest ends after you beat the game, regardless of how you chose.
Note that the link provided above by ShalLuser points to the Oldrim version of the mod. You'll want to get it from the SSE section of the Nexus, so search there for it.
Thank ♥♥♥♥ for the modding community. Every single one of you deserves lots of cool things in your life.
Did I miss something? When did they help me?
1. Delephine: Took the horn and made me travel out of my way and listen to some stupid presentation on Time shares and Amway; Made me kill a dragon for her; infiltrate a party to find out.....her intell was wrong ........yeah that's not helping.
2. Esbern: Made me listen to a sob story of how he told everybody all the bad stuff was going to happen, led me to an old Blades base and.......yeah, not helping me.
3. Both: Came to my peace meeting and .......yeah not helping.
Where did I go wrong? Where was the part they helped? Helped ME?
Don't tell me the picture of the 3 people shouting at Alduin. First of all, the groove puzzle isn't some Mysterious Puzzle. I found it my very first playthrough but couldn't do anything with it.
[Old Man Rant} There was nothing they are needed for that isn't SCRIPTED IN. The bane of present day gaming. No need for critical and deductive thinking. In my day we had to puzzle things out! We had to type in 50 different ways of saying USE THE KEY to get the right one; on TRS Model 3 with a tape drive attachment (or a 5 1/4 Floppy).]

Problem solved.
