Skyrim kinda sucks ( no bait )
- clunky controls
- struggling to even funtion half the times
- boring story
- usual empty open world where you press W and look around
- difficulty is artificial rather than mechanical
- repetitiveness of both Assets (reused) and gameplay (you do the same stuff over and over)
- looks good from afar, but horrible up close
- freedom and choice is not existant ( in my opinion, everything feels meaningless)
- music either kicks in at the worng time or never kicks in at all
- i can go on ...

in short, I can feel myself bored with each minute I keep playing.
I'd rather just watch a commentary or gameplay.

I my self love Skyrim, for everything it's not. Bugs warts an all. The most "popping" game could be a flop to some-one else.

That's odd... I've never seen anyone complain about it before. *Mind Blown

It is the fish that bites and decides whether it is bait. The fish teaches the angler, and the angler learns what works best as bait.

There are zero reasons that difficulty always have to be mechanical. Wanna some mechanical difficulty? Go play Devil May Cry or Meat Boy or Contra for that matter. But the thing is there are a lot of approaches to a difficulty design and there is no a universal one.

Then stop playing. Problem solved.

tho i'd say that
AS most games have DO NOT have a mechanical difficulty,
and even those that do have it, it ends up being muddled and tainted by stats that reintroduce artificiality and replace difficulty for "progression"

THEN in Skyrim it stings a bit cuz it is yet another instance of the latter.

It's not. It's just your expectations. TES games never were "battle-dancing-slashers" like Devil May Cry or Bayonetta or NieR: Automata. Have you played Morrowind? TES games go from the DnD mechanic. The attack of an enemy with a sword here is more of a transaction not a movement. The result of an attack in numbers is more important here than a beauty of a striking animation.

OP: not bait.
Also OP: here are my subjective, derogatory, extreme forum minority opinions on a game you've been playing for over 10 years and obviously like quite a bit.

i don't like it
The praise is not deserved in fact, for me it just doesn't work

But I rarely buy games, and then end up listening to " experts " and buy the " masterpieces " and they suck a55

playtime =/= enjoyment

Your most played game is Warframe....... Which is highly ironic given it's the same thing over and over again.... :steamfacepalm:

I mean, i could literally type a list of things wrong with Warframe and why it sucks, why no one should play it blah blah blah, but i don't. I don't go to their forums to tell them it sucks because guess what? i don't because it achieves nothing and is entirely flamebait and trolling. That's all this thread is.

Go and play warframe, and leave us to enjoy Skyrim.

I think it is one of the best roleplaying games ever made.
