Skyrim combat is a bit mid
all you do is swing a sword and block basically a walking sim with swords

It's realistic in that way, the flashy animations in other games are just not practical.

RFLMAO. Imagine buying an RPG, a dozen years after release, never mind it being the biggest RPG release of this century so far, whose ins and outs are so well known you can barely mention it without people who've never even played a video game saying, "until I took an arrow to the knee", and not being aware of the fact that it's an RPG where roleplaying is far more important than combat, which is not even of tertiary importance.

Let me guess, you're one of the frombros? I mean, the jibe at SK, 12 years too late, would certainly define a frombro's IQ.

The game kills time. It's killed more than 10,000 hours (at least as far as steam says) for me so far.

you forgot shout, put bucket on people's head, and eat cheese.

Some 300+ hours on a new character and I (personally) have not killed a single creature. Playing an Alchemist/Bard using summons and hires to combat. There are so many ways to play the game.

Just here to troll then? Explain yourself...

If so, in your judgement, don't feed the troll.

mate the combat is dull

The combat can have quite some debth to be honest but most of it relies on gimmicks. What bothers me more is how poor the difficulties, encounters and the balance is.

ER does that a lot better but sadly lacks other RPG features which Skyrim has.

Nothing to do with it. It's an RPG, not an FPS. I know, it's hard. Wannabe thugs pwning noobs who can't "git gud" just don't have the mental capacity to grasp that a game isn't combat and combat isn't a game. If you don't like RPGs, don't play them. It really is that simple. Just go play the same from-a-like game over and over with different assets. There are literally tons of them. Plenty enough so that you don't have to troll folks who prefer REAL RPGs.

I think its decent enough for a 2011 RPG, you can always look for mods that will improve combat to your liking

Pre-empting the troll reply, "But games shouldn't need mods to be great..."

Basically true, maybe some time ago, but if the 'troll' wants any recent complex game to fit their 'needs' mods are required. Skyrim is much more than the vanilla bits. Learn child.

Yep, plenty of combat mods out there if you desire. Or go stealth archer (this game's meme) instead of sword and shield. Maybe you'll find that more interesting.
