Companions Questline bug
I need serious help. After completing "retrieval", Not Aela or ANY of the leaders will give me the option to ask for work, making it impossible to continue the quest. I tried reloading saves, redoing the quest, waiting, entering and leaving Jorrvaskr over and over again, nothing I've tried seems to work and my last save was right after Skjor asked me to meet him in the Underforge...
Anyone have solutions?

Did you meet Skjor at the undeforge? Things are on hold until you do.

Yes I did. I met him and Aela, became a werewolf, killed all the silver hand at gallows rock, Aela then gave me "Striking the Heart" followed by "Retrieval", and then nothing. None of Companion leaders have the dialogue option to ask for work so I can't continue the questline...

Do you have any radiant quests outstanding? Because if you have a radiant quest of the same type from some other NPC open, you will not receive a new one of that type, which will result in the type of issue that you are seeing.

I shouldn't I think. I have a bunch of side and misc quests active but none are related to the companions

I shouldn't I think. I have a bunch of side and misc quests active but none are related to the companions
They don't have to be associated with the companions - they only need to be the same quest type (clearing a location, killing a type of NPC, etc.).

That's so stupid! I've never had this issue before on other playthroughs...

If you install mod, it can also be caused by the quest associated with those mod.

Been there, done that.

Just clear up the quest list and you would get it work in no time at all.

Did anyone ever find a solution for this? I'm having the same exact issue and I've been looking forever.

I've tried all the fixes suggested to others like waiting 24 hours in dragonsreach and fast traveling to the stables and walking through the gates even console commands don't work. Yeah they get the little icon over their heads and it says ask them for work but there is no option for it.

If I install the unofficial patch that works but then it disables achievements and I'm trying to platinum the game. The glory of the dead trophy is one of the last ones remaining and it's super frustrating.

There are mods to keep the achievements too if you decide to do it.
