I don't feel like I'm moving faster with the steed stone
I do feel like walking with weapon drawn is faster. Is that all this buff does besides the carry weight? I thought the heavy armor movement speed penalty affected walking with weapons sheathed too?

I definitely feel like I'm moving faster with my weapon drawn but it says it is supposed to remove the heavy armor penalty. I was assuming this stone would make wearing heavy armor like light armor as far as movement speed.

You move the same speed with heavy or light armour. The penalty is that heavy armor drains your stamina quicker while sprinting

The biggest advantage is that your armor is weightless. Armor up and look at your weight. Unequip your armor then look at your weight.

With survival mode on, heavy armor would be far more viable with it.

Ring of the Wind gives 15% movement speed. Interestingly, it is effected by the skill perk in Enchanting. Which bumps it up to 18%.

It can be fished out of a spot, like Riverwood. You will catch fish 5-6+ pending if you are there at the hot times of 7-9 AM or PM. After the fish are gone, you can catch junk. The ring has a chance to drop anyway but your chances are better if the fish aren't jumping.

It's been with my current Altmer Mage, since we left Helgen. Altmer move faster than any other race and that ring makes him a speed demon.

EDIT:
Conjuration / Destruction mage of the wind.
Thralls and Walls. ...a nasty combo

If you drink a potion that fortifies illusion spells, then unequip and re-equip the ring, then you'll get the potion benefits stacked onto the ring permanently until you remove the ring again.

Using the enchant > alchemy > enchant > alchemy loop to brew fortify illusion potions with ridiculous percentages, you can make the ring basically go as fast as you want. I got it up to 600% movement speed just for the funsies.

Ahhhhh.... maybe it's because my character recently became a Vampire.

Fortify Illusion is the culprit and not the Enchanting perk.
