Ok, why? Give me an error message - or anything that would actually help me to identify the problem.

Oh, now it suddenly works? No! Have fun intalling one thing and then getting this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ message again. Restarting the game doesnt seem to fix that issue. Reinstalling the game doesnt seem to do ♥♥♥♥.

The ♥♥♥♥ am I supposed to do? Delete system32?

I had to wait 5 mins everytime after it couldn't connect and eventually downloaded everything. What a joke.

Advice - If you have it now downloaded backup your skyrim folder.

Then when you've messed it up with mods, as we all do, you can uninstall then copy the folder back over. You'll never have to worry about this issue again.

I think the main issue a lot of people ended up having with it isn’t so much the quality or the price tag - it’s the fact that once you buy and install it, you can’t get rid of it like you can typical mods.

If you buy the Anniversary Upgrade, the total number of .esp mods you can have goes from 255 to 181.

Personally, I usually sit at around 230 - 40 .esp mods (with another 1500 .esl). I wouldn’t be able to play the game the way I want to with the mods I want to if I had the AU.

Not sure why they made it that way.

I don’t think you got it.

Your various analogies regard the fact that different people have different tastes and preferences, thus - while the OP and some of the others in here may not care for the CC content, other people enjoy it.

And that’s a completely valid statement.

I was riffing off your analogy/metaphor regarding ice cream flavors and tying it to my previous point.

That one of the issues with the CC is that something on there may look appealing to you - so you buy it - only to discover that you don’t particularly care for it.

Compounding the disappoint that comes with purchasing something you thought would be appealing to you and wasn’t, is the fact that you are now stuck with that content in your game forever more.

You cannot remove it. That weapon/armor/creature/gameplay mechanic/quest/location is now a part of your Skyrim Special Edition and the best you can do is try and ignore its existence.

You can’t even reliably fall back on using mods to improve it or make it better…because few modders care enough about the CC content to bother doing anything with it.

You’re just kinda stuck with it.

Just remove those 3 files for each creation you want to uninstall from the game.

I think we all get it. Very simple actually. All you need to do is realize some buy the Creation Club because it looks appealing and then once in game find out they like it. Nothing complicated here and no need for long winded posts. Some like chocolate ice cream some don't it's really simple.

Oh and yes, other than the CC that comes with the base game you can remove the CC DLC if you do not like it. Bethesda has made that clear since day one. And it's as simple as unchecking one box.
