I hear files from that can break Nemesis and can be a real chore to use them together.
To be honest, I am still sticking with fnis because it has never let me down. Even several mods made for nemesis work with it. I do have OAR as well.
No, forgive me, i guess the proper term would be that it closes itself. No Microsoft crash report. Just ends..
Ill try to remove and redownload for the time being.
Ok, I HAD FNIS before which I was using, but I did read that it isnt needed if you have Nemesis, so I got rid of it as a tool in Vortex. Maybe I will try to remove it entirely
Heard. Giving that a try now. Thanks both you guys
If it crashing any where along these steps, try checking you virus program and make sure that is not the cause.
I think one of the no no characters was the question mark. "?" But there were a handful of others.
Anyway, that might be your issue.

Figure its needy and wants my full attention.
- Removed both FNIS and Nemesis completely, and re downloaded Nemesis
- Followed the correct procedure (Didnt check any boxes), and pressed Update Engine
- Closed all other applications
- Went into Task Manager and limited the Application to a single core (Recommended online, didnt with all either)
I simply open Nemesis, press Update, and let the green bar at the bottom fill until 93%, at which point the application closes itself
Just stopped to eat real quick, will now go through my mod list and check for incompatibility, but my list is short and I feel this is unlikely
If launching from MO2 did you set it as an executable?
Try going to file location - mine is skyrim se folder/ data/ nemesis_engine and right click / run as administrator on Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine.exe
I looked at my mod history and I'm using the following nemesis add-ons maybe you missed a requirement for a mod? If you look at the mods requiring for these 3 you might see a mod you have. ihdk

I very much appreciate it. I too was just reading more and more Reddit posts and stuff, but I found something that ended up working.
Im using Vortex (sounds like everyone prefers MOD2, ♥♥♥♥ lol ), and what I did was "Purge" my mod list. Im not exactly sure what this did, maybe wipe a cache or something, I really dont know, but I then "Deployed" all the mods again, and this time the Update went through!!!
I appreciate everyones time. Im sure ill be back with more questions in the future.
Cheers :)
Try disabling all the mods that use Nemesis/FNIS animations, then run nemesis and see if it still happens. If it doesn't, enable each mod one by one and run nemesis to see when it occurs.
Sounds like a possible reason for the issue; Im like 2 weeks into modding Skyrim, so tbh Im still kinda just pressing buttons and hoping it works; but I did "Purge" all the mods through Vortex like I mentioned, and that seemed to do the trick :)
