Best home to keep loud/annoying pet?
Ok, I happen to gather some loud annoying pet...

Which home is the best to keep it away?

If you are talking vanilla homes, then i would argue for either the solitude basement as it is farthest from the bedroom and you can enter via the second floor. Or markarth as the back room is decently far back and away from the bedroom and front door.

You have to give us more criteria. It's hard to answer such an obvious question without it. You are making us to guess what your thoughts are. We are not telepathes you know.

The cheapest one?

Just take the pet to an isolated place in the gameworld. Select the dialogue option... "this is your new home."

...and leave forever.

I also play with survival mode during my current run and I use the farm outside Rorikstead as my home base as it's pretty much in the middle of Skyrim. However I only keep the goat and rabbit pet at that house, the others are in other ones of my houses. Since you have the power to teleport a pet to you it doesn't matter too much where you leave them. And I myself am not too bothered by the sounds if I'm just stopping by one of my houses to sleep and level up. So which one is best? None and all of them, it's just about how you want to interact with them during your play and such.

At survival mode, you cannot fast travel. So basically you would be using the home that are closest to your current location. It isn't exactly vague response... I mean, who in their right mind would have a permanent home base they frequently visit even if they are nowhere close to it at that moment?

Well, if you need another answer. House that can keep those pet while keeping their sound low. For example, when I enter the home I don't need to be greet with the loud sound of the spider moving around.

Must be 1 hell of a hassle to return when you are far away from it. I always stored whatever I want at any home that are closest to me due to weight issues.

Is the bet dog? Because Nexus does have mods to reduce or silence their constant barking.

Always think ahead very carefully when or if you want to get a pet. Pets are for life. Too many people get a pet like a dog and then abandon them because they realised too late the effort, the cost, and sometimes the inconvenience that comes with caring for a pet.

Just outside of Falkreath did someone abandon a dog, and one can find stray dogs occasionally throughout Skyrim. It is very sad to see.

And if you cannot care for a pet then do not even think about having kids!

THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE.

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Ahhh yes... I have to be lecture about responsibility when all I ask is the best home to keep loud pet... on a fcking games. Gotta love those clown trying to derail the topic with their self virtual right.

And people wonder why Hogwart Legacy is soo successful despite all those call for boycott.

Look for homes with more than one zone. In that case you can use one of the zones for pets. And in the other zone there will be no sound.

For example CC houses Myrwatch and Tundra Homestead both have 2 zones.

In Myrwatch the ground floor may be used for pets coz upper floor has all the activities a player usually attends to - smithing stations, alchemy and enchant tables and so on. But when you enter the house you get at the ground floor. So it will be noisy.

In Tundra Homestead there is a basement. You visit it may be a little less often coz cooking, alchemy and enchanting stations are at the ground floor.

Also check all the conditions of all the vanilla homes and CC homes here:

Then you need any of vanilla houses coz all of them are placed in major cities. Or Hearthfire houses coz they have carriages for fast travel.

From CC houses Shadowfoot Sanctum is placed within Riften. Tundra Homestead is not so far away from Whiterun.

While I generally go out of my way to avoid them all together, except for the Bone Wolf (+25% dmg to undead) When I do get them, accidentally or otherwise, I tend to either take them somewhere fitting or leave them in the area they were found.

You always have the teleport spells for them if you need them for the boon.

You can still fast travel by hiring for carriage or boat services near cities, and also if you permanently pay for them near any custom homes. Once you unlock all 3 words of Bend Will shout, you can fast travel by riding dragons.

I would take a look at the Myrwatch home and see how well it would muffled the sound of the pet, particularly the spider.

Ahhh yes...

Let's derails the thread what it is all about to lecture other people of their own self-righteous crap and proceed to edit their post with a huge ass capital letter with the sentence "THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE." to make their post look like jokes after realize how stupid it was....

Right after people already read and reply to it.

If you cannot stay relevant on to the topic, stay out of it.
