[SOLVED] SkyUI doesn't work
Hello there, I've stumbled onto an unusual yet bothersome problem. You see, I've been trying to put a few mods into my game, and while most of it has been working fine, I'm having a problem with SkyUI. I select it in the Load Order in-game just like I do with every other mod and I load up a save only to find out that the mod simply doesn't work. Other mods seem to detect it; iNeed gives me the "Initializing: Do not open your MCM menu" message when I enable it, yet there is no Mod Configuration Menu available and my UI looks the same way it does in vanilla Skyrim. What am I doing wrong, and how should I fix it?

I have the latest version of SKSE64 installed and it's working properly according to all other mods.

Load order:
Skyrim.esm
Update.esm
Dawnguard.esm
HearthFires.esm
Dragonborn.esm
Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp
Campfire.esm
iNeed.esp
SkyUI_SE.esp
Point the Way.esp
Dr_Bandolier.esp
mjhKhajiitSpeak.esp
mjhKhajiitSpeakMod - iNeed.esp
Cooking_In_Skyrim.esp
Frostfall.esp

Start by fix your loadorder. SkyUi should load after Campfire.

Fair enough. I ran LOOT to sort my load order, with the new one being in the original post. Still, the issue persists, and what's worth pointing out is that, even if I enable SkyUI_SE.esp inside the game, when I exit the game and run LOOT, it shows the mod as being disabled. I do not know of any other way of enabling a mod, so I'm sort of stuck.
Are you using MO2 by any chance?

I was not using Mod Organizer 2 or any mod organizing tool for that matter, as I felt like the few mods I wanted to install were simple enough to deal with manually without the need to install and manage additional software.

However, seeing as my issue was that SkyUI kept getting disabled and I couldn't find a way to keep it enabled, I cracked down and installed MO2, which lets me manually enable mods in the load order. The upside of this is that SkyUI finally works, but the downside is that I now have to open MO2 before I open the game.

And as for the SKSE.ini file you alluded to with your other links, I have it in my game, don't worry.

Oh. You do manuall install.

Since you now have installed MO2 you should clean your Skyrim and start over whit your modding.
And yea you need to start the game from inside MO2. You also need to sort your left side, dont forget that part.

Done and done... almost. I should sort my left side? What difference does that make, assuming I have no mods that overwrite each other? I have sorted my right side (load order), and the game is working the way it's supposed to, at last. For now I can live with Mod Organizer opening before the game does, since it does so fairly quickly, unlike the Nexus Mod Manager, for example.

See the left side as you order you install your mods, so it is important.

The only reason for SkyUI not to work would be if you didn't install SKSE64 properly.
Naw their is another reason Sky UI wouldn't work, which is if said person downloaded the regular Skyrim version.

Not the case here. SkyUI_SE.esp is the correct version

Yea, i saw that but i was saying in general that's another reason why it wouldn't work. XD.

Saphayla, do you have any mods installed that do not show up in the plugin list?
Please list them.

Also, did you drag all the files and folders from the skse64 archive to the game's root install folder?
In the game's Data Folder, is there a folder named Scripts?

It's impossible to know how you're game folder looks without a screenshot. The only thing that will work 100 percent.

Is you backing up Skyrim SE, delete the game, locate the folder of Skyrim SE after you've deleted the game and delete that to.

Restore Skyrim SE from backup, download MO 2, install SKSE 64 Scripts in MO 2 instructions are all over youtube like a billion times.

Install Sky UI run Skyrim if Sky UI appears you've mastered fire.

Just No, that's for advanced modders. Better to install them as intended for now.
