UNP vs CBBE?

Trying to find the most "immersive" body changer. Which is more compatible with other mods, which has more options, easier to use, preferred, etc. Just picked up SSE, this is the first time I've owned ES5 on PC and the first time I've modded anything so my knowledge is very limited on the subject. Thanks in advance.
P.S. What load order to use with UNP/CBBE and any other mods that affect appearance. (companions, eyes, face, etc.) and do these mods affect npc/companion presets?

I've used both UNP and CBBE. I switched to CBBE for more recent playthroughs, because UNP is not supported in Bodyslide (not without modifying it yourself.) And with regard to breast size - if you feel your character's boobs are too big, then RaceMenu is your good friend. Every body part in CBBE can be modified in real time in RaceMenu. Personally, I like CBBE way better. Also, there seems to be a lot more choice in armours with physics in CBBE.

UNP is supported in Bodyslide, at worst all you need to do is download a preset then you do with it what you want. Most bodies will have an optional bodyslide preset file to download along with the body.

Example:

My game uses a custom UNP body that I set up in bodyslide.

And just looking at armors on the front page of the category when you organize by number of downloads over half of those are for UNP specifically or UNP and CBBE both. I don't think a single one is for CBBE specifically.

It really is just a matter of preference.


I personally found UNP to be more natural looking, and I liked the skin options for UNP. But again it's a matter of preference.. there are UNP body replacers that are more well endowed, and some cartoonishly so.

I use CBBE for the practical reason: Most mod armors are built for or have compatibility with CBBE. And everything built for UNP will fit on it.

since someone already bumped it, was bodyslide not a thing by the time people complained about cbbe being oversized? because by now one can simply slim them down a bit (or be like me and have weight 0 be flat and 100 be somewhat oversized simply so the characters ingame have alot of variety; i just have to manually set some weight 100 chars down to something more... fitting xd

CBBE with XPMS skeleton.
You can litteraly create any body from flat small girl to monstrous H+ size (litteraly) fat women in bodyslide. Then adjust them at any moment in-game with Racemenu.
