How to enable CC content ?

bought AE and the creation club content. Do I need to activate the mods somehow ? Or is it active by default after downloading ?

Should be active right after the download has finished. Unfortunately it's not so obvious as it is with mods, but if you check the 'Creators club' section and spot several items as being "Installed" then this also means those are active.

They are there automatically if you bought the AE. If you want to check, select the Creation Club tab when you launch the game the menu and it should show each one as "Owned".

One problem with the CC for Skyrim, say compared to the ones for Fallout 4, they are not easy to know where to go and the quests for the items do not pop up like they do for Fallout 4 CC content unless you happen to stumble across the quest starters.

If I want to upgrade my armorer to one from the CC I have to complete a quest with out knowing which one?

Open the Creation club, see if they mods you want have "download" on them, if so click on download and download them.
