There is a lot of prep work to do as well, like did you clean your master files as he warned about.
The creator seems to be addressing issues people are asking about on the mods Posts page, I would think your question would be best asked there.
Yeah I use MO2. But since my issue is only a missing texture I have no need to worry about a fresh start.
And no, there's no way you can fix it manually. Its caused by a missing texture, so the only way for you to re-acquire it is to either re-install the game, or verify your cache. Though if you're using mod organizer, none of your files should have been altered. If you think its a mod issue, trying opening up a new profile in MO and play without any mods. If that fixes the issue, then its a mod issue. If it doesn't, that means a texture file is missing.
If you think a mod is what's responsible, I would guess its a texture mod, or a maybe a mod that has something to do with fire pits (frostfall comes to mind). As for what the object is called in the game files, who knows. Open up the console by clicking on the ~ button on your keyboard, then select a fire pit with your mouse. This will show a number. Find that number in xEdit and that will show you what that item is actually called in the files. Other than that, there's no way to know. And no, you can't search for that item in the console, because you can only search for things by finding their actual names (and sometimes, it isn't what you would expect).
No what I meant is that the firepits under the cooking pots at the inns doesn't have the stone textures. It's the stones that keep the fire in place not the fire itself that I'm having problems with.
