Any modders that can help out?
Trying to do something very simple, yet it seems functionally broken. That is, trying to install FNIS with Mod Organizer 2. Had this running fine for years with NMM, but I want to try out MO2.

I followed the instructions, put the FNIS directory in the real data folder, run as admin, shortcut through MO2 itself, etc.

Tested it with three mods so far.
- First was a generic animation mod with no complex instructions - It works fine
- Second was TKs dodge mod - Doesn't work at all with or without the patch
- Third was PCEA2 - FNIS gets stuck infinite loading when I try to generate behaviors at all

For that matter, it takes a very long time to load behaviors even with the first one, like 5-10 minutes.

I've tried using the redirect patch inside FNIS itself, but no matter what path I give to the ini, it always tells me the path is invalid. If this is even necessary, since one of the above mods worked regardless.

FNIS should be installed as any other mod in MO2. Follow my guide for installing and using FNIS in MO2, section 4 for the installation and appendix D for running it.

This^^. Also, the GamerPoet video on the modpage explains it almost identically at around timestamp 4:25 or so.

Ok, well, I installed it the way the guide recommended. FNIS actually generated the behaviors this time.

But the game won't start because "SKSE/trampoline.hi(187): Failed to handle allocation request". Which is part of SSE engine fixes. I don't know why this happened, I didn't touch anything else.

Reinstalled both parts of SSE engine fixes, still nothing.

What version of SKSE are you running? Check here for possible solutions...looks like a restart of computer fixed it for some.

Ok, so I ended up trying to restart the computer, which didn't work. Deleted the plugins (in the MO2 directory though, since they don't exist in the default directory) also didn't work.

But somehow a vaguely arcane process of deleting the files, the restoring them, then restarting the computer...and now the game starts.

The heck? Been working with computers most of my life, this still doesn't make sense to me.

I started using Nemesis instead. Basically the same thing, but it support more mods.

And operating it is exactly the same as FNIS, you just have to press "check for updates" before doing the usual thing.

Just to add too that the output plugin from Nemesis (if one is generated) is called FNIS.esp; to further improve the compatibility/dependencies/patches from other mods that worked with FNIS.

I’d suggest that OP switches to Nemesis from FNIS if possible.
