So wait for a discount to kick in, usually happens during the Holiday season.

Keep in mind that Skyrim SE comes with all the DLC.

Because it's worth it.

Yeah it's to expensive for a 8 years old game, grab it on another website for 10$

Because people are willing to buy it at that price. 🤷‍♀️

Check out:

https://isthereanydeal.com/

Which is a good place to look for sales on ANY game, not just Skyrim or Skyrim Special Edition.

And avoid any site that Steam censors - they are censored for a reason - usually a history of selling stolen keys, used keys that do not work, or other types of shady activity.

And buy it again and again actually. I know one guy that has it on every platform it's ever been released on... because it's the first game he buys when he gets a new console. And when he got a switch for traveling

Ever hear about that P.T. Barnum quote?
At least these days we tend to be less blind.... (or try to be less blind).

let me interrupt to talk about me for a bit

when i heard SE was coming out and would be "free" for anyone who owned the legendary edition of skyrim (or skyrim with all the DLC) i quickly went to g2a and got skyrim legendary edition it for 3 dollars and 88 cents

then SE came out and i played it for 5 minutes and gave it a bad review for being a scam

then i tried it a few years later (im playing it currently, its minimized) and holy smokes.. This feels like skyrim on a brand new game engine its so smooth

ive so far spent 400 hours in special edition

playing a smooth and polished bethesda game is unreal to me. it runs so smooth i cant believe it

Kind of a tragic testament to the state of a society that someone like that can afford to travel...or even worse...be paid to travel by an employer. I truly hope his ability to travel is based solely on the crotch the Dr yanked him out of.

When it comes to the price of the game...yeah...wait for a sale...don't pay over $30...and make it the PC version...legit modding or GTFO.

Why is it listed for $40...something something monkey see monkey do...

It will be on sale sooner or later, and even if you buy it at $40, if you plan on modding it's worth it. If you don't plan on modding wait for a sale.

Speaking as someone who buys most of my games on sale and usually at 50-80% off I get where you are coming from. I wait and wait so there is that. That being said when it came time for me to buy SSE for PC after playing thousands of hours on console I bought it without hesitation. Now I've played another couple thousand hours on PC so yeah as has already been mentioned if you're going to mod it I would say do it. But then again I also bought a PC first and foremost for modding Bethesda games. In the end it's a tough one and you have to make that call.
