Smithing Past 100?
How do i get Smithing past 100? I heard you can upgrade some weapons and armor to Legendary by getting to Smithing to 175. What pieces of armor should i use? What enchantments bring up your Smtihing level? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can upgrade it to legendary with just 100, you just gonna need the perk for whatever you're upgrading. Ebony smithing for ebony armour for example.

you can enchant rings, necklace, gauntlets, and blacksmith apron with the smithy skill.

You could drink potion as well. And they all stack.

It's no use having higher than ~570 armor rating as there is cap.

Congratulations, your 998 displayed armor rating is pointless. Physical damage reduction is capped at 80% which occurs at around (roughly) 540-560 armor. This information is directly from the Skyrim wiki.

You can reach the cap in any armor set so just pick the armor look you want and upgrade it. I got to the cap with the first armor the game gives you :)
