Why I won't play SSE without someone like Vilja ...

I'm waiting for followers like Vilja[www.nexusmods.com] to be released for Skyrim Special Edition before I abandon my old Skyrim. Why is that exactly? Well a few things really.

* She's probably the only person in vanilla / modding history that notices when you die. She'll freak out when the Dragonborn is killed which is very unique to see / hear.
* Vilja has some top notch AI and never bugged out on me, even when drunk.
* So many options and commands for her to do, yet she'll tell you straight up she's kind of annoyed to be ordered around at times (lol).
* Long and interesting quest for sure, which lets you either end up marrying her or just being friends without being forced into it.
* Suits however you fight, even to never trigger enemies in stealth.
* Her dialogue was always fresh and I hardly heard her repeating crap.
* Will have conversations with vanilla characters naturally, as they reply to her too.
* Doesn't attack you if you're a vampire or werewolf, and will make comments about it.
* Much more to her than a simple follower because of everything she's willing to do for you.

Seriously there's a reason why she has over 4,500,000 views on the mod's page and is the ultimate follower besides Inigo. In fact, she and the other almighty follower will have full conversations and interact. So there you go, until I see someone like her given to me in the newest Skyrim ... i'm going to stick with the old one. It wouldn't feel like a great game without an amazing follower to give it life like Vilja does.

That isn't to talk crap about SSE, I just can't afford to get into it without an incredible person to match my standards with personality, adaptability, functionality, and feels way more than a mere follower whom feels like a robot after awhile- Vilja never felt like a robot to me.

The issue isn't whether people care or not. If people post in this topic, they at least care a little. The issue is, is "I'm not playing SSE because it doesn't have a particular follower mod" really an issue that needs a topic on this forum? I mean...you won't play SSE until it's released... great... and?

I agree. I just can't play without Vilja or Legacy of the Dragonbonborn. I suspect it'll be a long time, if ever, before everything gets ported over.

I'm also not a fan of her voice, but almost everything else is good. Can't stand that Sofia companion. The 'big three" I tend to hear about, are Sofia, Vilja and Inigo. Inigo is okay, Vilja is excellent. Sofia... Tried once for a few hours. Dumped.

Your entire post says, "I wont play because I cant have 'x'". It is just crying for no reason.

Just go play original Skyrim until your beloved mod becomes available.

That's perfectly fine :) I just wanted to speak passionately about a mod is all. I probably could of done so in the Skyrim 2011 forums, but then again maybe this thread was a bit much so I don't blame people for giving me some raised eyebrows. Nether the less it never hurts to talk about the things you enjoy yea?

Besides there's no followers on SSE like Inigo / Vilja / Sofia / ect. which sucks because I do wish to play the new Skyrim eventually. But i'm willing to wait!
