Game breaking bug need help A.S.A.P Not Absorbing Dragon Souls [solved]

When i kill dragons they just death and no skelaton form anymore and the soul animation doesnt work either :(

Edit: Random flying dragons still drop there souls, but dragons on word walls outside skyrim just drop dead without the absorb animation and thus no soul gained.

how are you killing them? i know i had it happen a couple of times in the original release (that i cant remember the specifics of) but i know the one time it happened in SE was when i was in vampire lord form (on that character i normally revert form asap after killing a dragon to be able to loot the corpse; didnt that once and it wasnt absorbed... could be co-incidence though)

You have mods installed? Is a know issue in mod load order producing dragon not melting.

I am having the same problem, I cannot absorb dragon souls. The only mod I have installed is the unofficial Skyrim patch. I installed the patch a few days ago and continued a saved game where I was able to absorb dragon souls so I think it's the patch. However, I disabled it and I still can't absorb souls... :(
Worried my whole save file is corrupt. :(

Yes i am now on my way to call that dtagon in dragon reach.
Hopefully when i finished the game i can get souls again.

No mods all vanilla here.

Yeah same its not the patch either funny thing is when i kill paarthurnax i can absorb his soul, but all other dragons in skyrim not, they just laying on the ground with skin and all.

Have you started the Dragonborn DLC quests in Solstheim? Just wondering because that is when I noticed it first. Maybe the DLC has something to do with that.
btw this also started after I finished the main skyrim quest line

It's hard now, but it'll spare you years of wasted time before you make that realization yourself.
You're not the dragonborn. Get over it and find a life suited for you. I heard Hadvar's wife was killed by a dragon recently, maybe you can take her place?

If you've started the DLC far enough to have a conversation with Miraak, he might show up at any dragon kill and steal the soul. It should be fairly obvious, though, you'll see him absorb the soul himself and he'll taunt you. The body will still decay.
