My guess (so I'm not sure!) is that you might have found mods which were made for Oldrim while you're running the SE version.
Current SSE is v1.5.73
I noticed while I was setting up my current playthrough, it's pretty easy to accidentally end up on Oldrim's Nexus. Many mods even include links to Oldrim Nexus mods for patches and the like since the description was copy/paste when the mod was updated. I learned to double-check the URL before hitting download.
I think Wrye Bash gives an automatic warning for form 43 .esps (Oldrim) and should identify any accidental (or not properly updated) mods.

And STORE the damn files, to have them handy and roll-back to them.
I have got my old .exe files etc. saved however - this happens way too often not to take that precaution...
I did that once, now I not only have it update on launch, I also have the skyrim exe saved in another directory just in case
