read the elder scroll at the time wound

where can i find it

The quest should have told you to ask someone about it, eventually leading you to the College, which would give you a very minor search quest for Septimus. And then Septimus will tell you to go to Tower Mzark/Alftand and then Blackreach.

So, go do all those things. They should all have quest markers.

Yeah, its a long ways underground. Be prepared.

Make sure u get the lexicon done too. When I did it i forgot to grab it again and so I had to just go back to a previous save I wasn't about to go through that whole place again

Once you finish the area there is a nearby elevator that leads directly to the surface, you could have used that.
