No, free mods are still free on Nexus or Bethesda. Creation Club is a collection of Bethesda curated mods that cost fake money (possibly purchased with other fake money) ultimately purchased with real money. So far, there's been nothing really groundbreaking released on CC for either game.

No, that's where Bethesda chargers real money for Creation Club credits so people can buy creation club ""mini-DLCs"" if they like paying too much money for a generally inferior or equivalent result.

All the mods that were free before are still available for free.
There is no Steam workshop but is was garbage anyway, Bethesda has another free mod thing through Skyrim that is crappy for the same reasons.

Anyone who has some vague idea what they are doing and doesn't want a broken game can make a free account with The Nexus.

if you want mods make a free nexus acount and get either MO2 or Vortex after that its as easy as it was with workshop to mod the game and less risky. i did buy a few things on creation club for fallout 4 but most of its meh and if you watch they tend to give stuff away for free fairly often so you could grab that stuff but otherwise dont bother

They're mini-DLCs, basically. Most aren't worth it, probably, but for the most part they're not actually BAD (some are actually pretty decent).
