How To Tell What Mod An NPC Is From
I keep noticing some NPC's have the blackface bug. I also don't think i've ever seen these NPC's Before so they're most likely added by one of my mods. I've tried deactivating a couple mods I though might add them but none seem to be the right one. I know with Oldrim you could use a mod to expand the console use to tell you what plugin and NPC was from. But it looks like that hasn't been ported to SSE. So does anyone know a way to tell What plugin and NPC is from on SSE?

Some of your NPCs are doing blackface? Well that must be offensive to the Redguards. ;P

Could be that two mods are editing the same NPCs. For example Cutting room floor and a npc face replacer could do that without a patch.

If you post your load order it would help narrow that down.

Well it's 230 mods and even more plugins. Many are merged into single plugins. So that's why I need to know what mod the npc is added by. Too much of a pain to go through the entire list

Well after looking at the npc names I was able to figure out what mod it is. It's a bug with immersive patrols and it is listed as being a known bug on the nexus. The mod hasn't been updated since the bug was aknowleged. So No idea when it'll be fixed but it's been a couple months since the bug was mentioned and half a year since the last update. So idk. I'll mess around with the load order to see if maybe it is just a conflict.

Yeah, that what I'd do. If you can't fix it just get a different mod for road population like "Populated Skyrim" series.

It comes in individual populated areas or as in all in one called "Populated Skyrim Hell Edition."

Yeah i use to use those mods but i don't like them much anymore because they're just generic NPC's. I like mods like immersive patrols and intrersting npc's. I kinda find it hard to beileve it's a conflict though because immersive patrols is pretty high on the list of popular mods(idk why). So if there were any conflicts it would be listed or have a patch. So idk what's up with it.
post your load order and lets take a look

How to tell what mod an NPC is from_

- While in front of said NPC, open the console.
- Click on the NPC.
- The number that pops up should have 8 numbers and letters possibly (000727d3 for example)
- The first two parts of that number (so 010027d3 would be 01) corrospond with a mod in your load order.
- Switch to your mod manager, and find the number/letter combination in your load order that matches that number (usually 01 is going to be dawnguard is most load orders).

This method can be applied to items as well, or anything that has a refid.

I already tried that. the number is associated with a mod that does not add NPC's . But I already figured it out by looking up the names of the NPC's that had black face. So that is not a reliable method. Unless immersive weapons somehow adds NPCS's added by Immersive patrols.
