Serana bug on Awakening quest

I'm on the quest where you meet Serana at Dimhollow Crypt for the Dawnguard storyline. For some reason, Serana won't follow me when I ask her. All she says is "lets go" and just stands there and I can't continue the quest. I tried reverting to an earlier save, resetting her AI through the console, and skipping the quest altogether though console commands but it still doesn't work. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

The problem is that the 'Bloodline' quest won't start unless Serana is your follower, so that's not going to work unfortunately.

I think I already found this article earlier and I tried to follow the steps, but for some reason the setstage command won't work for me. Every time I type the command, nothing happens and Serana is still stuck.

I used the prid and moveto command to get her out of the crypt

Do you have any save that's before you opening her coffin? I've found that her Elder Scroll clipped through and if you happen to click on it you will start the conversation before she completes the "awakening" animation. This apparently will prevent Serana from properly becoming your follower.
If you don't have an earlier save, then I guess you are sort of screwed. You could keep trying various commands I suppose. Disable/enable, or remove her from follower faction and then add her back.

I just noticed something in your load order. FNIS doesn't need xpmse, and neither does Bijin.
Why is it installed?
Did you run GenerateFNISforUsers.exe As Administrator?

I think one of my mods needed it. I don't remember which, but I tried disabling it temporary to see if it helps. I also ran the FNIS generator just to make sure, but there doesn't seem to be any change.

sorry I'm not more help. this bug has been around since dawnguard came out, but in the 1800+ hours I have in Oldrim I have never had this happen to me. I even had the marryable Serana mod installed and it changes her. Mmmm, something about those eyes . . . O.O >.> <.<

Tbh, I may have to just skip the Dawnguard questline until a fix can be found or until the game gets patched. It's a little annoying to deal with the constant vampire attacks, but it's manageable.

start a new save profile without any mods except for USSEP and Live Another Life. I think there is an option in LAL to start as Dawnguard, then just rush through and see if it is still there
