Issue with the Ancient Exterminatus Device
Hi! I have used a number of mods including Chapters Of The Imperium and played as Imperial Fists and I suspect that I found a bug - there is no way to activate the Ancient Exterminatus Device. I haven't played the game in a while, so mb I just don't remember how to do that. There are no buttons or interactions.

Will be grateful for help!

Btw, it would be very cool to see similar mod for CSM as well, in the form of unique legions.

If the bug is related to having mods, contact the mod creators.

From what I recall, the Ancient Exterminatus Device doesn't need to be activated, it automatically does so once the quest is at the correct point?
Maybe you need to move an unit adjacent to it to "capture" it if it's still neutral?
Not quite sure, since I don't remember the SM quest.

Before writing this, make sure that you are not mistaken. I already did this in the month of April in a special topic for bugs, no one reacted. Now I have duplicated my message in the general comments of the mod and then it remains to write only here.

When I was playing, I successfully picked up the device and I could move it, but nothing happens further. As far as I remember, the quest says to activate the device, but moving it to the cells highlighted with a white outline will not do anything, moving to cities is also without result. The quest is simply present and nothing happens.

Just in case, since you didn't specify this, did you build the 3 Gene Seed buildings after having picked up the device? I had to do that first at least, then I could activate it. No specific location was required to activate it either.

Presently I tried to load the saves, but they all crash with the same error.

Thank you for your help! Anyway, now I need to start all over again. I will try to pass this quest with another Chapter (if they all have the same storyline).

@Minor I had the same problem with the the mod and with Imperial Fists as well. It's very disheartening since I made an epic defense position...being the Imperial Fists and all...Let us know if you have success with other chapters

Hi, a few years late but I just had exactly the same thing. Used Chapters of the Imperium parts 1&2 as the only mods, playing Blood Angels, did the geneseed thing and got to the part where it said I needed to activate.

Then click on the device but there are no options to activate or start a countdown, and no task information saying that it needs a countdown. Just tells me to do it, but there is no option.

Its annoying because I definitely prefer playing the game as not the generic/bland SM.
